Here in the art class, we don’t just paint on paper (or on the walls), we also paint…rain barrels!!
As a continuation of Beautification Day and our environmental studies, the art students have been planning and painting rain barrels. These rain barrels will then be distributed around Alden Road’s campus to collect rain water. Once they collect some rain, we can use the rain water to water the vegetation all around our beautiful school!
We took this project a step further by looking at famous pieces of art for inspiration. In this post you will find pictures of some of the inspirational pieces as well as pictures of completed (or nearly completed) rain barrels! Enjoy!
We have a few more rain barrels in the works…so check back soon!
