VSA Festival 2015!

Another VSA Festival is in the books! This year 8 classes joined in on our takeover of the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens! The weather was just the right temperature and with four tour groups, we felt like we owned the place!

A HUGE thank you to the Cummer for hosting our students and all of the thousands of students around Jacksonville!! We had a BLAST!!

Our Hand-in-Hand Art Show @ the Cummer NOW!!

We have a show currently on display at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens!! The show features the work from our VSA Artist-in-Residence program with Mrs. Huffman and Ms. Hill’s homerooms. We worked with Heather Heywood, an amazing art teacher for this project! Enjoy the pictures of the opening reception and make time to go by and see the students’ work on display until June 1st!

We are in the middle of an exciting project with the VSA and the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens! We have a guest artist working with Ms. Hill and Mrs. Huffman’s homeroom classes! Ms. Hill’s homeroom works with Ms. Heather (our guest artist) in the art classroom, so naturally we have been taking lots of pictures to share! Beautification Day: Spring Edition

Hello!! Sorry for the gap in posts!

We have been wildly busy creating art of all kinds and working with a guest artist in the classroom! Before you get a peek at the artwork we’ve been creating, we wanted to show you a few pictures from our school’s spring beautification day!! This past Friday, April 10th we rolled up our sleeves and got to work outside the classroom, weeding and replanting our classroom flower bed!

Art Show Tomorrow Night!

We have one more art show reception scheduled for this spring and it is TOMORROW NIGHT!!! Tomorrow: Wednesday, February 11th at 6:30 we will reveal one final show (that we know of) at the South Mandarin Branch Library at 12125 San Jose Blvd!

We hope you can join us for this exciting collection! This show features a variety of projects from our program including some Aboriginal Art, New Years Fireworks Cityscapes, Pop Art, and various other pieces!
